This is Netflix’s most expensive Latin American project to date, with Colombian groups and indigenous communities creating props and sets for the series
Line of Events
In the timeless town of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family experience love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and destiny.
I’m still on episode 4, but so far everything is amazing, it’s everything I expected
I know that many people will not be happy with this adaptation, but after all, it’s a big, big novel, we all know that it simply cannot be filmed, and as you know, the author did the same.
Overall, I recommend people to give this a try and don’t let the critics influence you, and don’t let the Netflix name influence you either
They previously didn’t agree to adapt the novel, and now his kids have agreed to adapt it, so in my opinion the result is that Netflix has adapted it quite well, maybe not everything is perfect, but they came very close, I think they did a remarkable job of recreating the spirit of the novel + the cast is very good, and the locations and the whole production was actually satisfying.
